Detailed description of Beekman Country Club
Beekman Country Club is a Public, 27 hole golf course located in Hopewell Junction, New York. Beekman has three nine hole sections that play as three separate 18's.
Highland Nine: The Highland Nine starts from the clubhouse and climbs gradually to elevation of 510 feet with spectacular views over the Hudson Valley to Stormville Mountain. This nine is the most picturesque and includes their signature par 3 fourth hole which is a breathtaking hole. Many of the fairways are lined with dogwood trees that are white clouds of blossoms in the Spring.
Valley Nine: The Valley Nine is also picturesque but does not climb to the elevation of the Highland Nine. This nine travels through rolling terrain with one of the largest oak trees in the nation guarding the sixth hole. The third and ninth holes are water holes and the breathtaking view from the seventh tee alone is worth playing this nine.
Taconic Nine: The Taconic Nine is the most challenging of the three nines. The fairways are a little narrow and the par 5, sixth hole with water in front of the green is a very exciting golf hole. The layout requires more precise shot making but its views and vistas are as lovely as the other two nines.

I have played this course many times and always find it in very good condition. Despite my familiarity, it always has a challenge to the average golfer. The staff are wonderful, helpful and friendly. My only objection is that on their website there is still mention of the spectacular oak on Valley 6. Unfortunately it was lost in a storm (or else a frustrated duffer took revenge).

I play here often. The course is in great shape considering the amount of play and compared to other area courses.

Great views and interestiong layout. Not the most difficult course but enough challenges to be fun. Staff is always helpful and the course is in good shape. Make sure to get the $3 lunch special. Not as good as The Links @Unionvale which is nearby,

This course has undergone significant improvements over the past few years. It is a great example of the potential of positive partnerships between golf course managers and developers. Service here is top notch,

Terrific layout and views. Great condition & is accessible almost any time. Great price for 3 nines, all of which are fun to play. Only drawback is that there is not much difficulty around the greens - maybe 1 bunker, so it plays easier than it should. When organizing a late minute foursome, Beekman always delivers a fun round of golf.
